General Summary:

The Senior Market Manager supervises two or more Market Managers. In addition, the Senior Market Manager is responsible for researching, monitoring, and reporting on the competitive environment and operational performance of assigned markets. Recommends price, product, and operational changes to improve market performance. Works closely with Marketing Analysis for data support, Product Marketing for product issues, and Marketing Communications for communication.







Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Supervises two or more Market Managers

Works with management leadership to help establish content, format and scheduling of market reviews. Helps establish team goals.

Works with Marketing Analysis to identify data needs for market reviews

Provides oversight, manages relationship and makes recommendations regarding external vendors to provide competitive pricing and tariff information

Establishes team routine, organizes competitive pricing data collection, storage and retrieval

Conduct Market Reviews for assigned markets

Works with General Manager, Area Directors, Indirect Sales managers and sales teams to gather competitive information and identify product and pricing issues

Works with Marketing Analysis to gather internal data for reviewing market performance

Assembles data for presentation and review with the local market, product marketing and other affected teams

Prepares summary and recommendations for review with Executive management

Assists in the maintenance of price catalogs and other internal systems and documentation

Assists in the communication of changes to sales organizations, and internal organizations such as Billing, Rating, Care, IT, Regulatory



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



Strong verbal and written skills

Strong PC skills - with significant working knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL

Excellent project management skills

Multi-task oriented and well organized

Strong interpersonal skills

Motivated self-starter

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in sales, marketing, finance or related fields

Relevant Work Experience:

8-12 years business-to-business marketing experience

2-3 years of experience in telecommunications services desirable
